Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit hslinear.com or send us an inquiry, why we do so, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Visiting the website

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our web server: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure (for example, to detect attacks). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Server log files are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted.

Hosting: the website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, which processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

3. Inquiry and quotation form

When you use our inquiry form, we process the data you enter: name, business email, company, phone number (optional), inquiry type, your message and any drawings you attach (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES or ZIP). The form sends this information as an email to sales@hslinear.com. Attached files are stored on the web server only for the moment needed to send the email and are deleted immediately afterwards. To prevent spam, your IP address is used for a short-term rate limit (stored as a hash for 30 seconds).

We use the data only to answer your inquiry, prepare a quotation and, if you order, carry out the contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, at your request) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering business inquiries). The same applies when you email or call us directly.

We keep inquiries for as long as needed to handle them. If a contract follows, we keep the related documents for the statutory retention periods for commercial records. Otherwise, we delete inquiries no later than three years after our last contact.

4. Transfer to China

Our company and engineering team are located in the People’s Republic of China, so your inquiry data is processed there. The European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision for China. We transfer your inquiry data because it is necessary to respond to your request and prepare a quotation (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). We only use it for that purpose and limit access to the staff handling your inquiry.

5. Cookies and consent

We use the plugin GDPR Cookie Compliance to ask for your consent. Technically necessary cookies are always active: they store your cookie choice and your selected language. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you allow them in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of each page. Legal basis: § 25 TDDDG (Germany) and equivalent national rules, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for optional cookies.

6. Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (only with consent)

If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our ads lead to inquiries. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may process data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data processed includes pseudonymised identifiers, pages viewed, device and browser information and an approximate location; IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings.

7. Icons

Some pages load the Font Awesome icon library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Your browser connects to Cloudflare’s servers, which receive your IP address. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation of the website). Text fonts are hosted on our own server; no connection to Google Fonts is made.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, email sales@hslinear.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work.

9. No automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

10. Changes

We will update this policy if our website or our processing changes. The current version is always available on this page.
